Cheap Baby Clothes
MooMoo kids is a small, internet-based enterprise in Cape Town, started by a mom, Cam Shackleton, who struggled to find the sleeping bags she had seen in London back here in South Africa. "I resorted to making my own, out of pure desperation!" she says. Friends wanted them, and so MooMoo Kids began.

Where do you prefer buying baby clothes & why?

Woolies, great quality and they do not use pins in manufacturing baby clothes. I also like Naartjie and Pumpkin Patch but genereally Woolies are comfy and great qulaity and almost all of it can be tumble dried which is great in Winter and when you do not want to hang clothes.

I love buying at Ackermans...altho i have quite a few woolies things, as i have 3 boys it is nice to pass on from one to the other. Went into naartjie the other day with their 50% off winter sale WOW very impressed with their quality and they have waist adjustable pants which is sooo nice! Will def be going in there as I divide the price by 3 boys - otherwise it would be too expensive! I also love Woolies sales!!!! Buy what you like, I don't think saving R2 on one item and losing time, energy and time for a cuppa with a friend is worth that moneyShopping should be pleasurable we work at keeping them clean and dressed nicely

I'm lucky - I get my daughters clothes @ Crazy Daizy (factory shop who stocks the pick & Pay brand & Woolies) - they have a seperate section called the cage (where they put all the rejects) and some items go for R5!!!
Otherwise I buy @ Ackermans!Newborn Posts: 229 Joined: 02 Aug 2010 13:56 Location: Cape Town Re: Where do you prefer buying baby clothes & why?

Woolies and Earth Child when they have the R99 sale! I love earth child because it is all made from organic cotton. Woolies quality is great and I find it fits my LO better as she is a chunky bubba...I love the selection at Ackermans but I find that she grows out of them too quickly - I heard that they take a small amount out of each item to keep the prices down - a little amount of elastic over thousands of items can make more items or something like that- not sure if that is true...but my LO has always battled with the fit being rather snug!Newborn Posts: 300 Joined: 19 Jul 2010 20:36 Location: Johannesburg - Fourways Re: Where do you prefer buying baby clothes & why?

Jessie wrote:Ditto ladies on Pep and Ackermans, but I do like the plain white vests/ body suits from woolies - they're good quality and you can never have enough when you have a new baby.
And what I like about woolies body suits is that it goes up to 36 months! I prefer the bodysuits to the normal vests.Newborn Posts: 229 Joined: 02 Aug 2010 13:56 Location: Cape Town Re: Where do you prefer buying baby clothes & why?
